Paxoi is a small group of islands and is the smallest of the seven principal Ionian islands. In Greek mythology, Poseidon created the island by striking Corfu with his trident, so that he and his wife Amphitrite could have some peace and quiet. Paxi is particularly famous for its beaches. Especially Antipaxi, a tiny island opposite to Paxi, is famous all around the world for its exotic Caribbean-like beaches.
