Santorini is located in the southern Aegean Sea and came into existence as a result of intensive volcanic activity. The largest volcanic eruption recorded in history is the Minoan eruption and is probably the only volcano in the world whose crater is in the sea. With its unreal sunsets, it has a growing reputation as a “wedding destination” for couples and has been ranked the world's top island by many magazines and travel sites.
